"I want to thank my CI, Paula, and all the UPT team members, Dave, Belinda, and Joni for building me up and helping me to grow into my future role as a PTA. Everyone at UPT made my experience one that exceeded my expectations. I am grateful to have had this group's guidance and talents as the foundation to begin this final year with. I appreciate the time you spent with me and your willingness to facilitate my education immensely!
Paula's knowledge was impressive beyond words and I couldn't have had a better CI matched for my first clinical rotation. I am so happy to have learned from her so many neat technique, especially pain control, I feel competent in this area! Dave never hesitated to take time from his busy schedule to advise or discuss things with me that I felt important to understand. I appreciate Belinda's infectious happiness and for allowing me to spend time with her as well. I appreciate how she critiqued my techniques and advised me on improving them for patient therapy. Joni, the receptionist, was always kind and willing to answer my questions on various things and she demonstrated how important her role is in this group.
Once again, THANK YOU URBANA PHYSICAL THERAPY OF SPRINGFIELD!"

"As a PTA student of Sinclair Community College, I was sent to Urbana Physical Therapy for my 1st clinical rotation. The staff here made me feel like family from the 1st day of clinicals. Even the patients are treated like family here. My CI, Bernie, also welcomed me right away by making me a welcome note & placing it at the seat I would be sitting. Bernie is a wonderful CI and has taught me a lot when it comes to this profession. I couldn't have asked for a better CI or clinical site. Thank you everyone @ Urbana Physical Therapy for giving me this experience, including patients."
-Nicole Bisignano, Student PTA, Sinclair Community College, Class of 2012
"UPT allowed me to develop my own method of evaluating and treating patients. In this way I feel more prepared to practice on my own because I wasn't using someone else's sequence or ideas but rather my own. The group as a whole is very personable and easy to get along with. I learned a great deal on this clinical."
-Jimmy Mako, Student PT, University of Dayton, Class of 2012
"UPT was by far my favorite clinical association I have had so far. David, my CI was incredibly helpful and always patient as I journeyed through the learning process. David is a PT/CI we could all hope to be like one day. He has an ability to really connect with patients and students. Even when I started moving down the wrong track with pt diagnosis, David had a way of bringing me back on track, while also making me feel intelligent at the same time.
Not only David, but the rest of the staff, Belinda, Paula, Darnel, and Victoria were readily available to answer any questions and willing to be my subject as I learned new skills. As mentioned in my last staff meeting, when I look back I can state at least one thing each person at UPT (both Springfield and Urbana) has taught me.
Upon completion of my ortho clinical, I was excited to advance to the next level, but yet disappointed to leave my friends behind. At UPT in Springfield, the group dynamics and environment are comfortable, welcoming, and optimal for any student. I could only hope and wish to work with a group just like them after I graduate.
Thank you so much UPT!! Especially to those who I spent the most time with: David, Belinda, Paula, Darnel, Victoria, and Joni.

"I had the privilege of completing my final 8 week clinical rotation at Urbana Physical Therapy. My learning experience at this facility was outstanding to say the least. I was very impressed with the entire staff's extensive knowledge in the field of physical therapy, as well as their willingness to share this knowledge with me at any given opportunity. My clinical instructor, Bernie, challenged me everyday and always encouraged me to do my best. She is an awesome teacher and one of the most kind, caring, and compassionate individuals I have ever met.
The Urbana Physical Therapy staff is outstanding in professionalism and knowledge, but most importantly they pride themselves in providing the highest quality of patient care possible everyday. I thank God for this wonderful opportunity and look forward to being a part of the Urbana Physical Therapy family in the near future.

"Urbana Physical Therapy of Springfield was a very good clinic for my final clinical experience. I have learned a great deal from my clinical instructor, Belinda Goheen. She has been very helpful in allowing me to gain the skills needed to enter into the physical therapy field. I very much enjoyed my time here and found the entire staff to be helpful and friendly.

"I had an extremely positive experience during my 8 week clinical at Urbana PT. The entire staff was very welcoming and supportive of me as a student; I never once felt intimidated. I was impressed with how well the staff got along and at how smoothly the clinic ran. It was nice to see an entire staff working together toward a common goal of providing the best possible care for their patients.
I felt blessed to have Benjy as my CI. He was always patient and open to my many questions. I was impressed with how willing he was to teach me, especially when it came to manual techniques ( a weakness of mine). He often took extra time to help me practice, review, or find a handout for me to keep. Benjy was a very supportive CI and helped to build my confidence and skills as an outpatient PT.
As I look toward graduation in a few months, I will definitely remember my clinical at Urbana PT as a positive experience that truly helped me to develop myself both as a PT and a person"

"What can I say about Urbana PT but that this has been overall my best clinical experience!!! I have learned soo much from Paula & she has been an awesome CI. She definitely knows her stuff. Not only have I learned from her but also from other PTAs and PTs and I am so grateful that everyone was kind enough to take the time to help me when needed. I will miss working with all of you. I have truly enjoyed this experience. Thank you!!!"
-Elisha Gilley, Student PTA, Clark State Community College, Class of 2008
"Being here at Urbana Physical Therapy for my last clinical was a God send. All the PTs and PTAs were never to busy to answer any questions that I had. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to 'work' with everyone here! I have learned a lot and wish I could have spent more time here! Thank you and special thanks to you Jackie, you are wonderful!
-Deb Sluiter, Student PTA, Sinclair Community College, Class of 2008
"I want to thank you for the wonderful opportunity of woking at your clinic. I learned so much from all of your staff. -Shawn Peters, Student PTA, Clark State Community College, Class of 2008
"I really learned a lot during my clinical at Urbana Physical Therapy. My clinical instructor gave me many opportunities for independence, yet remained eager and available to answer my questions. All of the physical therapists at UPT provided me with resources and spent time teaching me complex skills. I would recommend UPT to other students. It’s a great place to practice and improve your hands-on techniques."
-Melanie McClain, Student PT, The Ohio State University, MPT Class of 2007
"All the clinicians and staff were definitely blessings to meet here at Urbana Physical Therapy! This clinical has helped me grow professionally and personally. Being the last clinical of my curriculum, they created an atmosphere where I could determine where I was and where I needed to be to become an entry-level clinician. All of the clinicians were easily approachable and always willing to help me out and teach me new techniques. I would definitely recommend this physical therapy clinical site to anyone, especially those that are ready to be challenged for their independent futures."
